Why This Site Exists
Georgia provides public access to many government records, but released people may vanish from a current jail roster. The Hancock County Sheriff's Office documents county-jail custody and release, while the Georgia Department of Corrections maintains offender records for state prisoners. The State Board of Pardons and Paroles and Department of Community Supervision cover different parts of post-release supervision. Federal releases belong in the Bureau of Prisons system. This site organizes those distinct paths, official lookups, and record-request steps without pretending they are one database.
Resources Collected Here
The pages are arranged around the source that can answer each type of release question.
- The home page provides the full Hancock County released-inmate search and release-record request path, with separate help for Projected Release, VINELink Inmate Search, and Probation & Parole.
- Facility pages identify the address, phone, agency, and applicable release route for each local or serving office.
- Search instructions distinguish a county jail record from GDC, federal BOP, and ICE locator results.
- Records guidance explains where to ask about booking material and which office controls the response.
Limits of This Resource
This is a private reference site. It has no connection to a Georgia sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or other government agency.
- We cannot release, detain, or transfer a person.
- We cannot post bond, arrange visits, or send funds for a visitor.
- We do not give legal advice.
- We cannot promise that an address, phone number, fee, or office detail has not changed.
Only the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, GDC, a court, or another responsible agency can confirm custody, charges, or release.
Search Partners
Some search boxes are supplied by independent providers that choose their own prices and control their own results. If a visitor follows one of these tools into a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep access to the site free, but it does not give us control over a partner's fees, records, or service.
